Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
