Say, "Who can protect you at night or by day from the Most Merciful?" But they are, from the remembrance of their Lord, turning away. 42 Have they gods who defend them beside Us? They are not able to succour themselves, and against Us they cannot be kept company with. 43 We gave days of enjoyment to them and their fathers until their life became long. Are they unable to see how We come to their land and reduce its borders. Or, is it they who are the victors? 44 Say: 'I warn you only by the Revelation' But the deaf hear nothing when they are warned. 45 And if a breath of the torment of thy Lord were to touch them, they will say: woe unto us! we have been wrong-doers. 46 We shall fix the scales of justice on the Day of Resurrection, so that none will be wronged in the least; and even if it were equal to a mustard seed in weight We shall take it (into account). We are sufficient for computation. 47 We gave Moses and Aaron the Criterion, and gave them a light and a Remembrance for the cautious: 48 (For) those who fear their Lord in secret and they are fearful of the hour. 49 And this is an admonition blest, which We have sent down! will ye then be the rejectors thereof? 50
