The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). 1 And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof 2 And those who recite the Reminder, 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lowest heaven with the beauty of the planets; 6 and have made them secure against every rebellious, satanic force, 7 They cannot listen to the speech of those on higher elevations and they are targeted from every side. 8 and are repelled. Theirs is an unceasing chastisement. 9 Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. 10 So ask them (that is, human beings): “Were they harder to create than the objects We created?” We created them from sticky clay. 11 No, you marvel, while they scoff. 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 When they see a sign, they laugh at it, 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 along with our forefathers?" 17 Say: 'Yes, but worthless' 18 So that is just a single jolt, thereupon they will begin staring. 19 and they say, 'Woe, alas for us! This is the Day of Doom.' 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
