Say (O Muhammad SAW): "O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians): Come to a word that is just between us and you, that we worship none but Allah, and that we associate no partners with Him, and that none of us shall take others as lords besides Allah. Then, if they turn away, say: "Bear witness that we are Muslims." 64 People of the Book, why do you dispute about Abraham when the Torah and Gospel were only sent down after him. Do you not use your reason? 65 Listen! This was what you argued about – of which you have some knowledge – why do you then argue about the matter you do not have any knowledge of? And Allah knows whereas you do not know. 66 Ibrahim was not a Jew, nor a Nazarene, but he was an upright Muslim, nor was he of the associators. 67 Most surely the nearest of people to Ibrahim are those who followed him and this Prophet and those who believe and Allah is the guardian of the believers. 68 A party of the followers of the Book desire that they should lead you astray, and they lead not astray but themselves, and they do not perceive. 69 Ye People of the Book! Why reject ye the Signs of Allah, of which ye are (Yourselves) witnesses? 70 O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians): "Why do you mix truth with falsehood and conceal the truth while you know?" 71
