Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Does man think We shall not put his bones together? 3 Surely yes, why not? We can properly make all his phalanxes. 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 He asketh: when will the Day of Resurrection be? 6 When the sight is dazed, 7 The moon eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are joined together, 9 Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?" 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 Before thy Lord (alone), that Day will be the place of rest. 12 To man will be declared on that Day that which he hath sent on and left behind. 13 In fact man is a witness against himself, 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 Move not thy tongue with it to hasten it; 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 But when We have promulgated it, follow thou its recital (as promulgated): 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 Yet you love this hasty world 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 (Some) faces on that day shall be bright, 22 looking towards their Lord; 23 And how many faces on that Day will be woe-begone 24 Expecting that there will be done to them [something] backbreaking. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 To your Lord on that day shall be the driving. 30
