The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder 1 And attentive to her Lord in fear, 2 And when the earth is stretched, 3 And has cast out that within it and relinquished [it] 4 And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] - 5 O man, you have to strive and go on striving towards your Lord, then will you meet Him. 6 Whoever is given the Record in his right hand 7 Soon will his account be taken by an easy reckoning, 8 and shall return to his people joyfully. 9 But as for he who is given his record behind his back, 10 He will cry out for destruction 11 and he shall roast at a Blaze. 12 Indeed, he had [once] been among his people in happiness; 13 he surely thought he would never revert. 14 Yea indeed! His Sustainer did see all that was in him! 15 So I do call to witness the ruddy glow of Sunset; 16 and by the night and what it enfolds, 17 And by oath of the moon when it is full. 18 you shall proceed onwards from stage to stage. 19 What then is the matter with them, that they believe not?- 20 and when the Koran is recited to them they do not bow? ۩ 21 Instead, the unbelievers reject it, calling it a lie. 22 But Allah has full knowledge of what they secrete (in their breasts) 23 So give them news of painful punishment, 24 except to those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for theirs is an unfailing recompense. 25
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
