Then the people of Lot rejected the messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 161 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 162 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 163 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 164 Do you, in the world, want to have carnal relations with males 165 “And leave the wives your Lord has created for you? In fact you are people who exceed the limits.” 166 'Lot' they replied, 'if you do not desist, you shall be thrown out' 167 He said: "I do detest your doings." 168 (And prayed:) "O Lord, save me and my family from what they do." 169 We therefore rescued him and his entire family. 170 except an old woman who remained behind. 171 Then We destroyed the others. 172 And rained on them a shower (of Stones). How terrible was the rain (that fell) on those who had been warned! 173 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 174 And lo! thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
