The Companions of the Wood rejected the messengers. 176 When Shu'aib said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 177 I am for you a faithful Messenger, so fear you God, and obey you me. 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who cause others to lose. 181 “And weigh with a proper balance.” 182 Wrong not mankind in their goods, and do not evil, making mischief, in the earth. 183 Fear He who created you, and the generations of the ancient' 184 They said, 'Thou art merely one of those that are bewitched; 185 thou art naught but a mortal, like us; indeed, we think that thou art one of the liars. 186 "Now cause a piece of the sky to fall on us, if thou art truthful!" 187 He said, "My Lord is most knowing of what you do." 188 But they rejected him. Then the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom seized them, and that was the Penalty of a Great Day. 189 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 190 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 191
