Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 and those that bear the burden [of the rain], 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 and the partitioners, 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 On that Day they shall be tried at the Fire, 13 (And told:) "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten." 14 Lo! those who keep from evil will dwell amid gardens and watersprings, 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 And the beggar and the destitute had a share in their wealth. 19 On the earth, and in yourselves, 20 And (also) in yourselves. Can ye then not see? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23
