The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 And those who undo the bonds gently, 2 by the angels who float (in the heavens by the will of God), 3 By the angels hastening, 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 On the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world], 6 Followed by oft-repeated (commotions): 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 So he gathered the people, and proclaimed. 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
