The people of Noah denied the messengers 105 when their brother Noah said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 106 I am a trustworthy Messenger sent to you. 107 “Therefore fear Allah, and obey me.” 108 I ask of you no recompense for it, for my only reward is with the Lord of the Universe, 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we place our faith in thee, even though [only] the most abject [of people] follow thee?" 111 He said, 'What knowledge have I of that they have been doing? 112 Their account is only upon my Lord, if you [could] perceive. 113 And I am not one to drive away the believers. 114 'I am naught but a plain warner.' 115 They said: "If thou desist not, O Noah! thou shalt be stoned (to death)." 116 He said, 'My Lord, my people have cried me lies, 117 “Therefore make a decisive judgement between me and them, and rescue me and the believers along with me.” 118 Thereafter We rescued him and those who were with him in the laden Ark 119 Then We drowned the rest afterwards 120 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 121 And indeed your Lord, only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
