3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed Nuh (Noah) invoked Us, and We are the Best of those who answer (the request). 75 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 Peace be on Nuh among the worlds. 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 Verily, he [Nuh (Noah)] was one of Our believing slaves. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 Is it a calumny, gods apart from God, that you desire? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 and he turned to their idols and asked them, "Do you eat? 91 What aileth ye that ye speak not? 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 Then came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him). 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 Verily that! that was a trial manifest. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
