No, by the moon! 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 Warn the men. 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 From the guilty. 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
