The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Has there not been over Man a long period of Time, when he was nothing - (not even) mentioned? 1 We created man of a sperm-drop, a mingling, and We made him hearing, seeing. 2 Verily, We have shown him the way: [and it rests with him to prove himself] either grateful or ungrateful. 3 Verily We! We have gotten ready for the infidels chains and collars and a Blaze. 4 the righteous shall drink from a cup mixed with the coolness of kafur, 5 The Kafoor is a spring, from which the chosen bondmen of Allah will drink, causing it to flow wherever they wish inside their palaces. 6 They [are those who] fulfill [their] vows and fear a Day whose evil will be widespread. 7 And they give food out of love for Him to the poor and the orphan and the captive: 8 We only feed you for Allah's sake; we desire from you neither reward nor thanks: 9 "We only fear a Day of distressful Wrath from the side of our Lord." 10 So Allah saved them from the evil of that Day, and gave them Nadratan (a light of beauty) and joy. 11 And will reward them for what they patiently endured [with] a garden [in Paradise] and silk [garments]. 12 Reclining there upon couches, they shall see neither the sun nor the moon. 13 The shades of Paradise will bend over them, and its fruits will be brought within their easy reach; 14 Vessels of silver and goblets of pure crystal will be passed round among them 15 and gleaming silver goblets which have been filled to the exact measure, 16 And they will be given to drink there of a Cup (of Wine) mixed with Zanjabil,- 17 From a fountain therein, named Salsabil. 18 ۞ There wait on them immortal youths, whom, when thou seest, thou wouldst take for scattered pearls. 19 when thou seest them then thou seest bliss and a great kingdom. 20 Their garments will be of fine green silk, and gold embroidery. They will be adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord will give them a pure drink. 21 Surely this is a reward for you, and your striving shall be recompensed. 22
