Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

۞ Did We not widen your bosom? 1 and lifted from thee the burden 2 that had well-nigh broken your back? 3 And exalted thy fame? 4 Surely with hardship there is ease. 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 Then when thou becometh relieved, toil; 7 and to your Lord turn [all] your attention. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
