Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 Nay, but ye will come to know! 3 And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand! 4 You will certainly have the knowledge of your deeds beyond all doubt. 5 Indeed you will see hell. 6 Again, indeed you will see it with certainty. 7 On that Day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
