We verily created man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein. 16 and the two recording angels are recording, sitting on the right and the left: 17 Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record]. 18 And death's agony comes in truth; that is what thou wast shunning! 19 And the trumpet is blown. This is the threatened Day. 20 And every soul shall come, with it a driver and a witness. 21 [It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp." 22 His companion will say: "Here is (the record) I have ready with me." 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 Forbidder of good, exceeder of limits, doubter, 25 who has set up with Allah another god. Indeed, you two, cast him into the terrible punishment' 26 ۞ and his associate [Satan] will say, "Lord, I did not make him transgress, he had already gone far astray himself." 27 He shall say, 'Dispute not before Me! For I sent you beforehand -- the threat. 28 There is no changing of My word, nor am I unjust to My creatures." 29
