The Mountain (Al-Toor)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the Mount, 1 and a Book inscribed 2 on parchment for distribution, 3 And the House (Kaaba) that is visited, 4 by the high ceiling (heaven), 5 And the sea kept filled, 6 Verily, the Doom of thy Lord will indeed come to pass;- 7 There is none that can avert it; 8 [It will come to pass] on the Day when the skies will be convulsed in [a great] convulsion, 9 And the mountains will pass on, departing - 10 Then woe that Day to the beliers; 11 and who indulged in false disputes against (God's revelations). 12 The Day when they will be pushed down by force to the Fire of Hell, with a horrible, forceful pushing. 13 “This is the fire, which you used to deny!” 14 Is this magic, or is it that you do not see? 15 [Enter to] burn therein; then be patient or impatient - it is all the same for you. You are only being recompensed [for] what you used to do." 16 Those who fear God and follow the straight path will surely be in gardens and in bliss, 17 Enjoying in that which their Lord has bestowed on them, and (the fact that) their Lord saved them from the torment of the blazing Fire. 18 (To them will be said:) "Eat and drink ye, with profit and health, because of your (good) deeds." 19 They will recline (with ease) on thrones arranged in ranks. And We shall marry them to Houris (female, fair ones) with wide lovely eyes. 20 And those who believe and whose progeny follow them in belief. We shall cause their progeny to join them, and We shall not diminish unto them aught of their own work. Every man is for that which he hath earned a pledge. 21 And We will provide them with fruit and meat from whatever they desire. 22 They will therein snatch from one another a cup; therein will be neither vain babble nor sin. 23 ۞ And round them shall go boys of theirs as if they were hidden pearls. 24 They will go to one another asking each other questions: 25 Saying: "We were also once full of fear at home. 26 “So Allah did us a great favour, and saved us from the punishment of the flame.” 27 “Indeed we used to worship Him in our previous life; indeed He only is the Benign, the Most Merciful.” 28
