Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ THE CONCRETE REALITY. 1 What is the Inevitable Calamity? 2 And what will make you realize what the Inevitable Hour is? 3 The tribes of Thamud and A’ad denied the event of great dismay. (The Day of Resurrection) 4 As for Thamood, they were destroyed by the Screamer; 5 And the 'Ad were destroyed by the furious cold blast of roaring wind 6 He forced it upon them with strength, consecutively for seven nights and eight days – so you would see those people overthrown in it, like trunks of date palms fallen down. 7 Can you see any of their survivors? 8 The Pharaoh, those who lived before him and the people of the Subverted Cities all persisted in doing evil. 9 They disobeyed the Messenger of their Lord and He seized them with torment which increased with time. 10 Verily We! when the water rose, We bare you upon the traversing ark. 11 that We might make it a reminder for you and for heeding ears to hold. 12 And when the trumpet is blown with a single blast, 13 And the earth and the mountains shall be removed from their places, and crushed with a single crushing, 14 So that is the day when the forthcoming event will occur. 15 And the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm. 16 and the angels [will appear] at its ends, and above them, eight will bear aloft on that Day the throne of thy Sustainer's almightiness… 17 On that day ye will be exposed; not a secret of you will be hidden. 18 Then as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand will say: "Take, read my Record! 19 Certainly I thought that I should encounter my reckoning.' 20 His shall be a pleasing life 21 in an exalted garden 22 its fruits are near. 23 (And it will be said unto those therein): Eat and drink at ease for that which ye sent on before you in past days. 24 Then as to him who shall be vouchsafed his book in his left hand, he shall say: Oh! would that I had not been vouchsafed my book. 25 and knew nothing of my reckoning. 26 "I wish, would that it had been my end (death)! 27 Our wealth is of no benefit to us 28 My authority is gone away from me. 29 (It will be said): "Seize him and fetter him, 30 Roast him in Hell, 31 then in a chain of seventy cubits' length insert him! 32 He did not believe in God the supreme, 33 and he never urged the feeding of the needy; 34 Therefor hath he no lover here this day, 35 Nor any food except refuse, 36 None will eat it except the sinners. 37
