The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the snorting chargers, 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 and penetrate deep into a host. 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11
