The 'Ad (people) rejected the messengers. 123 When their fellowman Hud said to them, “Do you not fear?” 124 I am a trustworthy Messengers sent to you. 125 "So fear Allah and obey me. 126 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 127 "Will you, in your wanton folly, build [idolatrous] altars on every height, 128 And take ye for yourselves castles that haply ye may abide. 129 "And when you seize, seize you as tyrants? 130 So guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me 131 fear Him who has aided you with all that you know -- 132 Gave you increase of cattle and sons, 133 and with gardens and springs. 134 I am afraid that you will suffer the torment of the Day of Judgment." 135 They said: It is the same to us whether you admonish or are not one of the admonishers 136 "This is no other than a customary device of the ancients, 137 And we are not going to be punished. 138 So they rejected him, and We destroyed them. Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 139 Surely your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 140
