The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
182 verses, revealed in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those [angels] lined up in rows 1 By the angels driving away. 2 and the reciters of a Remembrance, 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them and the Lord of the sun’s rising points. 5 Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty). 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 they listen not to the High Council, for they are pelted from every side, 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 (Muhammad), you will be surprised that they still mock (God's revelations). 12 and when they are reminded [of the truth,] they refuse to take it to heart; 13 and whenever they see some sign, they ridicule it, 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 "What! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again) 16 And our forefathers? 17 Proclaim, “Yes, and with disgrace.” 18 So it shall only be a single cry, when lo! they shall see. 19 and will say: "Oh, woe unto us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 “Yes, this is the Day of Final Decision that you used to deny as a lie.” 21
