Hizb 46

Verily Jonah is one of the apostles. 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 And then they cast lots, and he was the one who lost; 141 The fish then swallowed him and he blamed himself. (For not waiting for Allah’s command.) 142 Had he not been one of those who acknowledge the glory of God, 143 he would have lingered in its belly till the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 Then We sent him to a hundred thousand or more, 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 Now ask thou them: are there for thy Lord daughters and for them sons? 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 Will you not then remember? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if you speak truly! 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 Therefore you and all what you worship. (The disbelievers and their deities.) 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 Except the one who will go into the blazing fire. 163 (Gabriel said to the Prophet): 'Each of us has a known place. 164 and, verily, we too are ranged [before Him in worship]; 165 and we are of those who glorify Allah.” 166 And there were those who said, 167 If we had the account of earlier people with us, 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! 170 And certainly Our word has already gone forth in respect of Our servants, the apostles: 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn (away) from them for a while. 174 and watch them. They, too, will watch. 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 But then, once it alights upon them, hapless will be the awakening of those who were warned [to no avail]! 177 So turn away from them for a while. 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 So peace be on the messengers, 181 It is only God, the Lord of the Universe, who deserves all praise. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
