Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
