The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 by the promised day, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 When they sat by it 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
