Blessed is He who, if that were His will, could give thee better (things) than those,- Gardens beneath which rivers flow; and He could give thee palaces (secure to dwell in). 10 No, they belied the Hour. We have prepared for him who belied the Hour a Blaze. 11 When it sees them from a far place, they shall hear its bubbling and sighing. 12 And when they shall be thrown into a narrow place thereof, chained together, they will exclaim therein for destruction. 13 (Then it will be said to them:) "Do not call for one death today, but call for many deaths." 14 Say: Is this better or the abiding garden which those who guard (against evil) are promised? That shall be a reward and a resort for them. 15 Abiding there forever, they shall find in it all that they desire. This is a binding promise which your Lord has made. 16 And on the Day whereon He will gather them and that which they worship beside Allah and will say: are ye the ones who sent astray these My bondmen; or strayed they themselves from the way? 17 They will say, "Exalted are You! It was not for us to take besides You any allies. But You provided comforts for them and their fathers until they forgot the message and became a people ruined." 18 the Remembrance, and were a people corrupt.' So they cried lies touching the things you say, and you can neither turn it aside, nor find any help. Whosoever of you does evil, We shall let him taste a great chastisement. 19 We did not send Messengers before you but that they ate food and walked about in the markets, We have appointed some of you to be a trial for others. Will you endure? Your Lord is the Seer. 20
