The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta Sin. These are verses from the Quran, a book that makes things clear; 1 A guide: and glad tidings for the believers,- 2 Those who keep the prayer established and pay the charity and are certain of the Hereafter. 3 As for those who will not believe in the life to come - behold, goodly have We made their own doings appear unto them, and so they stumble blindly to and fro 4 Those are they for whom is the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers. 5 And most surely you are made to receive the Quran from the Wise, the Knowing Allah. 6 Recall what time Musa said unto his household: verily I perceive a fire afar; I shall forthwith bring you tidings thereof, or bring unto you a brand lighted therefrom, haply ye may warm yourselves. 7 But when he came close to it, a call was sounded: "Blessed are all who are within [reach of] this fire, and all who are near it! And limitless in His glory is God, the Sustainer of all the worlds!" 8 [And God spoke thus:] "O Moses! Verily I alone am God, the Almighty, the Wise!" 9 And cast down your staff. So when he saw it in motion as if it were a serpent, he turned back retreating and did not return: O Musa! fear not; surely the apostles shall not fear in My presence; 10 Except those who do some wrong but afterwards do good to make up for the wrong. And I am forgiving and merciful. 11 Thrust thy hand in thy bosom and it will come forth white without evil-among nine signs to Pharaoh and his people; they are an ungodly people.' 12 But when there came to them Our visible signs, they said, "This is obvious magic." 13 And they persisted in rejecting them wrongfully and arrogantly, while in their hearts they were convinced of their truth. Observe, then, how evil was the fate of the evil-doers. 14
