Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 Thamud, 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
