And when the envoys came to the family of Lot, 61 He said: verily ye are a people stranger. 62 They said, 'Nay, but we have brought thee that concerning which they were doubting. 63 We have come to thee with the truth, and assuredly we speak truly. 64 Depart with your family in a part of the night and walk behind them and let none of you turn round. Go to a place where you are commanded' 65 And We made plain the case to him, that the root of them (who did wrong) was to be cut at early morn. 66 Then came the people of the city, exulting at the news. 67 and he told them, "These are my guests, so do not disgrace me. 68 Fear Allah and do not disgrace me' 69 They said, “Had we not forbidden you from meddling in the affairs of anyone?” 70 [Lot] said, "These are my daughters - if you would be doers [of lawful marriage]." 71 By thy life, in their intoxication they were wandering bewildered. 72 An explosion struck them at sunrise. 73 And We turned (the cities) upside down, and rained down on them brimstones hard as baked clay. 74 There are great Signs in this for those endowed with intelligence. 75 And verily! They (the cities) were right on the highroad (from Makkah to Syria i.e. the place where the Dead Sea is now). 76 Verily in that is a sign for the believers. 77 And the dwellers of the thicket also were most surely unjust. 78 We therefore took revenge from them; and indeed both these townships are situated on an open road. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
