The Mountain (Al-Toor)
49 verses, revealed in Mecca after Prostration (Al-Sajdah) before Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness the Mount Sinai, 1 And the Scripture inscribed 2 In parchment unrolled. 3 The house ever-peopled, 4 by the high ceiling (heaven), 5 and by the swelling ocean, 6 Verily the torment of thine Lord is sure to befalls 7 There is none that can avert it; 8 (It shall come to pass) on the Day when the heaven will convulse in a great convulsion, 9 And the mountains shall pass away passing away (altogether). 10 woe that day unto those that cry lies, 11 Who play in talk of grave matters; 12 On the Day when they shall be thrust into Hell with a violent thrust (and shall be told): 13 This is the fire which you used to give the lie to. 14 Was it, then, a delusion or is it that you failed to see [its truth]? 15 Roast in it, bear it with or without patience, it is the same, you are only being recompensed for that which you used to do' 16 Those who fear God and follow the straight path will surely be in gardens and in bliss, 17 rejoicing in that their Lord has given them; and their Lord shall guard them against the chastisement of Hell. 18 [They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you used to do." 19 Reclining on couches ranged. And We shall couple them with maidens wide eyed. 20 And those who believe and whose progeny follow them in belief. We shall cause their progeny to join them, and We shall not diminish unto them aught of their own work. Every man is for that which he hath earned a pledge. 21 And We shall increasingly give them fruit and meat such as they desire. 22 There they pass from hand to hand a cup wherein is neither vanity nor cause of sin. 23 ۞ And there will go round boy-servants of theirs, to serve them as if they were preserved pearls. 24 And they will advance unto each other asking questions. 25 Saying: "We were also once full of fear at home. 26 But Allah hath been gracious unto us and hath preserved us from the torment of the breath of Fire. 27 Surely we called upon Him before: Surely He is the Benign, the Merciful. 28

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
