Al-Najm 3 of 3
(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 and covered them with torment. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him. (Command of Prostration # 12) ۩ 62

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
