Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Resurrection Verifier; 1 What is the Indubitable? 2 And what will teach thee what is the Indubitable? 3 The Thamud and the Ad denied the (possibility of a) sudden calamity, calling it false. 4 As for Thamood, they were destroyed by the Screamer; 5 and the 'Ad were destroyed by a furious wind 6 He made it rage against them seven nights and eight days in succession: so that thou couldst see the (whole) people lying prostrate in its (path), as they had been roots of hollow palm-trees tumbled down! 7 Do you now see any trace of them? 8 Pharaoh and those before him and the people of the overturned habitations all engaged in the same great sin. 9 They did not follow the Messenger of their Lord, and so He seized them with a severe grip. 10 Verily We! when the water rose, We bare you upon the traversing ark. 11 as a lesson for you, but only attentive ears will retain it. 12 So, when the Trumpet is blown with a single blast 13 and the earth and the mountains shall be lifted up and crushed with a single stroke! 14 Then on that Day, the Resurrection will occur, 15 And the heaven shall be rent in sunder, it on that Day shall be frail. 16 And the angels will be on the sides thereof, and eight will uphold the Throne of thy Lord that day, above them. 17 That will be the Day when you shall be brought forth (before Allah) and no secret of yours shall remain hidden. 18 So whoever is given his book in his right hand – he will say, “Take, read my account!” 19 "Surely, I did believe that I shall meet my Account!" 20 So he shall have an agreeable life 21 In a high garden 22 With fruits hanging low within reach, 23 Such people will be told, "Eat and drink with pleasure as the reward for what you did in the past". 24 But as for him who is given his book in his left hand, he shall say, 'Would that I had not been given my book 25 And I had not known what my account was: 26 I wish death had put an end to me. 27 My riches have not availed me, 28 [and] all my power of argument has died away from me!" 29 "Seize him and manacle him, 30 then cast him in the Fire, 31 then in a chain of seventy cubits' length insert him! 32 they did not believe in the great God, 33 And urged not on the feeding of Al-Miskin (the poor), 34 Today he has been left here friendless; 35 neither any food saving foul pus, 36 that none excepting the sinners eat.' 37
