In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Indeed there has been a time for man, when even his name did not exist anywhere. 1 Indeed We have created man from mixed semen; in order to test him – We therefore made him hearing, knowing. 2 Verily, We have shown him the way: [and it rests with him to prove himself] either grateful or ungrateful. 3 Indeed, We have prepared for the disbelievers chains and shackles and a blaze. 4 Surely the righteous shall drink of a cup the admixture of which is camphor 5 A spring wherefrom the slaves of Allah drink, making it gush forth abundantly, 6 [The truly virtuous are] they [who] fulfil their vows, and stand in awe of a Day the woe of which is bound to spread far and wide, 7 And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive, 8 "We only feed you for the sake of God and we do not want any reward or thanks from you. 9 Lo! we fear from our Lord a day of frowning and of fate. 10 So Allah shall guard them against the woe of that Day, and will procure them freshness and joy, 11 And reward them, because they were patient, with garden and silk, 12 Where they will recline on couches feeling neither heat of the sun nor intense cold. 13 The shades of Paradise will bend over them, and its fruits will be brought within their easy reach; 14 Passed round will be silver flagons and goblets made of glass, 15 Glass made from silver, which the servers have filled up to the measure. 16 And they will be given to drink there of a Cup (of Wine) mixed with Zanjabil,- 17 from a fountain called Salsabila. 18 ۞ There boys of everlasting youth shall go about attending them: when you see them, you would think that they are scattered pearls. 19 When you see them, you see bliss, and a great Kingdom. 20 On their bodies will be garments of the finest green silk and brocade, and they will be adorned with bracelets of silver; and their Lord will give them a purest draught to drink. 21 'See, this is your recompense, your striving is thanked' 22
