The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

When the earth is shaken by a terrible quake 1 And the earth discharges its burdens 2 And man saith: what aileth her? 3 On that day she shall tell her news, 4 Because your Lord had inspired her. 5 On that day men shall come forth in sundry bodies that they may be shown their works. 6 Then shall anyone who has done an atom's weight of good, see it! 7 And whosoever has done even an atom's weight of evil will behold that. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
