۞ (It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship. 22 apart from God, and guide them unto the path of Hell! 23 and detain them there; they will be called to account. 24 They will be asked, "Why do you not help each other?" 25 Nay, but this day they make full submission. 26 And they will advance toward each other mutually questioning. 27 These say, 'Why, you of old would come to us from the right hand.' 28 They will say: "No, you were the ones who would not believe. 29 we had no authority over you; no, you were an insolent people. 30 But now our Lord's word has come true against us: truly, we are bound to taste [the punishment]. 31 Therefore we perverted you, and we ourselves were perverts.' 32 On that Day, they will all share the chastisement. 33 Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminals. 34 For when it was said to them: 'There is no god except Allah' they were always proud 35 And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet? 36 Not in the least. He has brought the truth and confirmed the other messengers. 37 “You surely have to taste the painful punishment.” 38 Ye are requited naught save what ye did - 39 Except for God's sincere servants; 40 Those will have a provision determined - 41 Fruits; and they will be honoured. 42 In gardens of delight, 43 seated on couches, facing one another. 44 A cup will be passed round among them [with a drink] from unsullied springs, 45 Crystal-white, of a taste delicious to those who drink (thereof), 46 Neither does it intoxicate, nor give a headache. 47 They will have with them loving wives with big black and white eyes 48 who are as chaste as sheltered eggs. 49 Then one turned to the other in an enquiry. 50 Said one of the speakers: "I had a friend 51 who would say, "Are you a confirmer? 52 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, shall we be recompensed?" 53 [And] he adds: "Would you like to look [and see him]?" 54 Then, he will look and see him in the midst of Hell. 55 He says, 'By God, wellnigh thou didst destroy me; 56 But for my Lord's blessing, I were one of the arraigned. 57 Are we not then to die 58 Save our first death, and are we not to be tormented? 59 Verily, this - this indeed - is the triumph supreme!" 60 for which one must strive hard. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of AzZakkum! 62 which We have made as a test for the wrongdoers. 63 Verily, it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-fire, 64 Its spathes are like the heads of satans. 65 Then most surely they shall eat of it and fill (their) bellies with it. 66 then on top of it they have a brew of boiling water, 67 They can only return to hell. 68 They indeed found their fathers astray, 69 So in their footsteps they are being hastened on. 70 And indeed most of the men of old went astray before them; 71 though We had sent warners among them. 72 Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not). 73 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 74
