It was not in falsehood that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. That is the thought of the unbelievers. But woe to the unbelievers because of the Fire! 27 Shall We make those who believe and do good deeds equal to those who spread turmoil in the earth? Or shall We equate the pious with the disobedient? 28 [This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded. 29 And to Dawud (David) We gave Sulaiman (Solomon). How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)! 30 When there were brought to him in the evening (horses) still when standing, swift when running-- 31 And he said: Lo! I have preferred the good things (of the world) to the remembrance of my Lord; till they were taken out of sight behind the curtain. 32 (he ordered): “Bring these horses back to me,” and then he began to gently stroke their shanks and necks. 33 And We indeed tested Sulaiman, and placed a dead body on his throne – he therefore inclined towards His Lord. 34 He said: My Lord! do Thou forgive me and grant me a kingdom which is not fit for (being inherited by) anyone after me; 35 We made the wind subservient to him, to blow gently wherever he desired at his command 36 and the satans, every builder and diver 37 and others that were bound with chains. 38 We told him, "This is Our gift to you so give them away free or keep them as you like". 39 And he had a near place in Our presence and a fair resort. 40
