So remind [O Muhammad], for you are not, by the favor of your Lord, a soothsayer or a madman. 29 Or say they: (he is) a poet, (one) for whom we may expect the accident of time? 30 Say thou: wait verily I am, with you, among the waiters. 31 Do their minds prompt them to say such things, or are they a people immersed in transgression?” 32 Or do they say: "He himself has composed this [message]"? Nay, but they are not willing to believe! 33 Let them then produce a recital like unto it (the Quran) if they are truthful. 34 Were they created out of nothing, or are they their own creators? 35 Or is it they who created the heavens and the earth? No; the truth is that they lack sure faith. 36 Or are thy Lord's treasuries in their keeping? Or are they the registrars? 37 Or do they have a ladder (climbing which) they can hear (the secrets of heaven)? Let one who has heard then bring a clear proof. 38 Or, [if you believe in God, how can you believe that] He has [chosen to have] daughters, whereas you yourselves would have [only] sons? 39 Or is it that you (O Muhammad SAW) ask a wage from them (for your preaching of Islamic Monotheism) so that they are burdened with a load of debt? 40 Or that the Unseen in it their hands, and they write it down? 41 Or, do they desire to outwit? The unbelievers are the outwitted. 42 Or do they have a God besides Allah? Purity is to Allah from their ascribing of partners to Him. 43 If they should see a segment falling from the sky, they would say: "It is only a massive cloud." 44 so leave them alone till they face the Day on which they will be struck dumb, 45 The Day when their plotting shall not avail them at all nor will they be helped (i.e. they will receive their torment in Hell). 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment (i.e. the torment in this world and in their graves) before this, but most of them know not. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 36]. 47 So wait patiently for the Judgement of your Lord -- you are certainly under Our watchful eye. And glorify and celebrate the praises of your Lord when you rise up [from your sleep]. 48 and glorify Him after the setting of the stars. 49
