Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
HAST THOU ever considered [the kind of man] who gives the lie to all moral law? 1 That is he who repulses the orphan (harshly), 2 And does not encourage the feeding of the poor. 3 So woe unto those performers of Salat (prayers) (hypocrites), 4 but whose hearts are not in their prayer. 5 to those who make display 6 But refuse (to supply) (even) neighbourly needs. 7
