The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the angels ranged in ranks. 1 And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof 2 And those who recite the Reminder, 3 surely, your God is One, 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them; the Lord of the Easts. 5 Verily We! We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment: the stars. 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are thrown at from every side, 8 Being driven off, and for them is a perpetual chastisement, 9 but if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge,] he is [henceforth] pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 But you wonder, while they mock, 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 When they see a sign, they laugh at it, 14 and say: “This is nothing but plain sorcery. 15 "What! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again) 16 What, and our fathers, the ancients?' 17 Tell them: “Yes; and you are utterly helpless (against Allah).” 18 It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing. 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 This is the Day of Judgment in which you disbelieved. 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
