Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
