The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 Those who humble themselves in their prayers; 2 Who shun all frivolities, 3 And who are payers of the poor-due; 4 who strictly guard their private parts 5 save from their wives and what their right hands own then being not blameworthy 6 And whosoever seeketh beyond that, then it is these who are the transgressors 7 And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 These! they are the inheritors. 10 that will inherit the paradise; [and] therein shall they abide. 11 We created man from the finest extract of clay, 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 Then you will all be raised on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure, and lodged it in the earth, and We are able to take it all away. 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 as well as a tree that issues from [the lands adjoining] Mount Sinai, yielding oil and relish for all to eat. 20 And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat. 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
