We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 'Peace be upon El Yaseen' 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
