And We certainly saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment - 30 From Firaun; he was indeed proud, among the transgressors. 31 And certainly We chose them, having knowledge, above the nations. 32 and bestowed upon them the Signs wherein lay an evident test for them. 33 Even then they say: 34 'There is nothing except the first death, we shall never be revived. 35 Bring back to life our fathers if what you say is true". 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba, and those who had lived before them, whom We destroyed as they were sinners? 37 We did not idly create the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them; 38 We created them with definite purpose; but most of them do not understand. 39 Truly, the Day of Decision is the appointed time for all of them, 40 The Day when Maulan (a near relative) cannot avail Maulan (a near relative) in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 save him upon whom God has mercy; He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 42
