HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
