Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And those that strike violently, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known extent. 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
