And the dwellers of Al Hijr also belied the Messengers. 80 We gave them Our signs, but they turned away from them. 81 And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure. 82 But As-Saihah (torment - awful cry etc.) overtook them in the early morning (of the fourth day of their promised punishment days). 83 Therefore their earnings did not in the least benefit them. 84 AND [remember:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without [an inner] truth; but, behold, the Hour [when this will become clear to all] is indeed yet to come. Hence, forgive [men's failings] with fair forbearance: 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator and knows (everything). 86 We have indeed bestowed on you the seven oft-repeated verses and the Great Qur'an. 87 Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers 88 Say, "Indeed, I am simply one who warns." 89 [For, thou art the bearer of a divine writ] such as We have bestowed from on high upon those who [afterwards] broke it up into parts, 90 who have broken the Koran into parts, 91 Now by thy Lord, We shall surely question them all together 92 for whatever they have done! 93 Promulgate thou that which thou art commanded, and turn away from the associaters. 94 Lo! We defend thee from the scoffers, 95 Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. 96 Well know We that thy bosom is oppressed by what they say, 97 but extol thou thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise Him, and be of those who prostrate themselves [before Him] in adoration, 98 and worship your Lord until what is certain [death] comes to you. 99
