The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 2 and who turn away from all that is frivolous, 3 And who are givers of poor-rate, 4 And who guard their private organs. 5 Save in regard to their spouses and those whom their right hands own: so they are not blameworthy 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 those who are faithful to their trusts and promises; 8 And who (strictly) guard their prayers;- 9 These will be the heirs, 10 who will inherit Paradise; they shall live there for ever. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. 17 And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away. 18 We grow orchards of dates and grapes from it for you, Which yield fruits in abundance that you eat. 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 And you are carried on them and on boats. 22
