Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great affliction. 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 He then shot a glance at the stars. 88 and said: 'Surely, I am sick (of what you worship)' 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 [But] then the others came towards him hurriedly [and accused him of his deed]. 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 They had contrived an evil plan against him, but We abased them all. 98 And he said: verily I am going to my Lord who will guide me. 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 Wherefore We gave him the glad tidings of a boy gentle. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you – therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 thou hast confirmed the vision; even so We recompense the good-doers. 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
