We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
