The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 and those that blow gently, 2 By the angels who glide swimmingly, 3 and the outstrippers (angels), outstripping, 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 “When we have become decayed bones?” 11 They said, “So this return is an obvious loss!” 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 Then [Musa (Moses)] showed him the great sign (miracles). 20 but he denied it as false and disobeyed, 21 He then turned away, striving in his effort. 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 you pay attention 25 Surely there is a great lesson in it for whoever would fear (Allah). 26
